Who we are

Drainwystrain is an Auckland-based consultancy that creates practical workplace culture guides for organisations across Aotearoa New Zealand. We have been operating from our Newmarket studio since 2020.

Our story

We started Drainwystrain after seeing too many Kiwi teams stuck between glossy values posters and the messy reality of daily work. Founders Elara Whitmore and Marcus Chen believed culture deserved the same thoughtful design as strategy or product — not left to chance or imported templates.

Today, we work with SMEs, established firms, and community organisations from our studio at 277 Broadway, Newmarket — as well as via video across the motu.
